Privacy Policy

for ZIGALO — the matchstick puzzle game for Android by Tinderbox Games
Application Zigalo Package com.emberpal.zigalo Platform Android · Google Play Publisher Tinderbox Games Date 3 September 2026

A privacy policy is really a question of who can see what. So this one is arranged by point of view — five of them, from the person holding the phone to the people who could, in another kind of app, be watching from a distance. In Zigalo's case the distance is empty.

What you see

everything

Every puzzle you have solved, which level you are on, the hints you have used, and the language you picked — all of it is in front of you inside the app, and none of it is hidden from you anywhere else, because there is nowhere else. You are the only reader of your own progress.

What your phone holds

three things

Zigalo writes into the private folder Android sets aside for it — a folder no other app on the phone may open:

  • Progress — which puzzles are solved and where you left off.
  • Preferences — Slovenian or English, sound, vibration.
  • Hint usage — so a hint you have already seen stays available.

That is the full inventory, and no item in it identifies anyone. In Android Settings, under Apps → Zigalo → Storage, Clear data empties the folder; uninstalling removes it. We keep no duplicate, which means no request to us is ever needed — and also that we cannot put back a run you have cleared.

What we see

nothing about you

Tinderbox Games has no account system, no analytics library, no crash reporter and no server for Zigalo. We do not know that you installed it, how far you have got, which puzzle stumped you or whether you opened it today. Our whole picture of the game's audience is an install count that Google totals and displays to us in the Play Console.

This is not restraint on our part; it is a property of the build. The INTERNET permission is missing from the manifest, and Android denies any connection to an app that never asked for one. Aeroplane mode changes nothing about how a puzzle plays — the quickest way to test the claim yourself.

What Google sees

the install

Google Play puts the package on your phone and keeps it updated. Whatever Google records about that — the download, the update, the device it went to — is Google's to record, under Google's privacy policy. We can neither see it nor change it, and nothing the game itself stores is part of it. The app asks Android for no permissions of its own: not storage, location, contacts, camera or microphone.

What nobody sees

the rest

No advertising network, so no advertiser and no advertising identifier read. No third-party software development kit of any kind, so no partner. No leaderboard, so no other player. No purchases, so no payment processor and no card number. The categories that fill most privacy policies — recipients, retention periods, legal bases for sharing — are simply empty here, and they are empty because the machinery to fill them was never installed.

The formalities

controller

AV Motion d.o.o., a company registered in Slovenia and trading as Tinderbox Games, is the data controller for Zigalo — an office holding, as the five views above show, nothing about you.

Ulica Milana Majcna 16
1000 Ljubljana, Slovenija
Director: Vladimir Točkov
covers

This page speaks for one thing only: Zigalo for Android, package com.emberpal.zigalo, in the form Google Play delivers it.

younger solvers

Matchstick puzzles suit any age. There is no chat, no name to type and no way out of the phone, so a child working through them discloses nothing to anyone.

rights

Data-protection law in Europe gives you the right to know what a company holds about you and to have it corrected, deleted, restricted, ported or its use stopped. Put it to us and you will hear back inside a month: there is nothing on file, for the reason the third view gives. Complaints go to the Slovenian regulator, Informacijski pooblaščenec (ip-rs.si), or to the authority where you live.

changes

Should a future version give any of the five parties something new to see — an online leaderboard, a cloud save, an advert — these five views are redrawn and the date at the top moves before that version is published; a copy already on your phone goes on behaving as the page it came with.

contact

strike@motion.delivery — or a letter to the office listed under controller.
